TOMA/TXACOFP 12th Annual Convention Recap

TOMA/TXACOFP welcomed nearly 250 participants to its 12th Annual Convention in Arlington, earlier this month. Osteopathic physicians from across the state and surrounding areas as well as residents, fellows and medical students joined together to learn, engage, and collaborate on the latest scientific findings, research and innovation in osteopathic medicine.

Under the leadership of convention co-chairs, Drs. Katherine Pederson and Carol Browne, the program committee planned a stellar convention. Below are some of the exciting highlights from Arlington:

Student/Resident Workshop
One of the highlights of this year's convention was the hands-on training session Dr. Thomas Shima offered our medical students/residents. Students attended a casting clinic as well as OMM. In addition, students heard from a panel on preparing for their third year, as well as learned valuable interviewing tips/tricks.

President's Installation/Annual Awards Luncheon
On Saturday, June 15, nearly 200 guests came together for the Installation of Dr. Brent Sanderlin, TOMA President and Dr. Katarina Lindley, TXACOFP President. In addition, the 2019 Annual Awards were presented to some of the best volunteers TOMA/TXACOFP have. Congratulations go out to:
